Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka analyzed his team’s performance in last night’s victory over Roma.

The Swiss international highlighted the importance of not underestimating the Giallorossi ahead of the return leg despite holding a two-goal advantage.

“We knew it would be difficult in Rome,” Xhaka told Rai 1. “We played a great match. The regret is not having scored more goals tonight.”

“We have taken an important step toward the final in Dublin, but we know the quality and mentality of Roma, they can come to Leverkusen and react.”

“We should be more careful. We are closer to our objective but it’s not over yet.”
