Former Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman was greeted by his former fans.
The Dutch player was back on the pitch of the Stadio Olimpico as Genoa prepare to face Roma in the penultimate Serie A matchday of the season.
First, Strootman was greeted with a loud applause. The crowd got up for a standing ovation.
Then, his name was repeatedly shouted by the club’s official speaker: the midfielder thanked everyone from inside the pitch during the warm-up.
