Lazio midfielder and Japanese international Daichi Kamada could end up at Roma this summer in what would be a crazy turn of events.

According to today’s report by Corriere della Sera, Roma are intent on strengthening their midfield ahead of next season given the scarce output of players like Renato Sanches and Houssem Aouar who failed to impress Daniele De Rossi.

With Nahitan Nandez of Cagliari deemed the current favorite to join Roma on a free transfer, the newspaper adds that the Giallorossi have had the crazy idea of targeting Lazio’s Daichi Kamada as well.

After only one season with the Biancocelesti, Kamada could choose to leave the club as a free agent this summer.

The 27-year-old failed to impose himself at Lazio after a difficult start under former manager Maurizio Sarri.

Roma – who had shown interest in him last year – are considered an option for Kamada who is interested in exploring the summer transfer market.
