Roma have reportedly joined the race for Italian fullback Giovanni Di Lorenzo who is expected to leave Napoli this summer.

Di Lorenzo’s unexpected request to leave Napoli in the offseason has made him one of the most sought players in Italy at the moment.

Having made his decision public, Di Lorenzo is now being target by several clubs including Roma.

The Giallorossi are looking to complete a major overhaul of their fullbacks: Spinazzola, Karsdorp, Kristensen, Zalewski will all leave the club this summer, making Di Lorenzo a top priority.

According to Il Messaggero, Di Lorenzo has become Roma’s preferred option to strengthen De Rossi’s squad due to his experience, pace and technicality.

However, competition for the player remains fierce as Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have already lined up in the queue for him.

Napoli want at least €20 million for him: Di Lorenzo ‘s contract expires in 2028 and earns around €3 million per season.
