Roma to activate Angeliño’s buy option from Leipzig before 30 May deadline

Andy Mattioli

Roma want to make Angeliño a permanent member of the club following the conclusion to his loan spell from Leipzig.

In fact, a decision must be made by tomorrow on the possible redemption of Angelino from Leipzig.

With the German club, in fact, the agreement entails a buy option for €5 million, to be exercised by May 30, for what is preparing to be Roma’s first move in the transfer market.

Today’s edition of Il Tempo writes that Roma have decided to buy the Spanish full-back, following the recommendation of Daniele De Rossi.

The coach asked for the full-back who arrived in the capital last January to stay, with Leipzig having interrupted his loan to Galatasaray to send him, again on loan, to Roma.

The Spanish full-back has alternated with Leonardo Spinazzola in recent months. Angeliño appeared for the Giallorossi 16 times for a total of 1141 minutes, with an assist made in the last game, against Empoli, for Aouar’s header.
