Daniele De Rossi is ready to officially become Roma’s long-term head coach.
The club legend is expected to be officially appointed by the club on a permanent basis.
This will be De Rossi’s first long-term contract at Roma as manager of the team following his initial short-term deal drawn up in January when De Rossi took over after Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from the club.
Upon the team’s return from their Australian tour where they faced Milan in an international friendly, De Rossi’s announcement will be released on Roma’s official channels.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the announcement will be made at the start of next week.
Furthermore, the newspaper revealed the length of De Rossi’s new contract and the wages included in the deal.
The contract will be valid until 30 June 2027.
Meanwhile, De Rossi is expected to make around €2.5 million.
This will mark a considerable decrease from the €10 million Roma were paying to Jose Mourinho.
