Andy Mattioli

Spanish Diego Llorente is hoping to extend his stay in the Italian capital.

The player’s loan from Leeds United is nearing an end and his future remains uncertain.

Llorente joined Roma on a second consecutive loan July 2023.

His initial loan lasted 6 months from January until June of last year and the capital club did everything they could to secure his services for an additional season.

Now, Roma are yet to make a decision regarding Llorente’s place in the team ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Spanish central defender wants to stay in the capital and De Rossi has also shown that he trusts him, also using him in a more external position as a fullback.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma will discuss the terms of a new deal for Llorente with Leeds.

There is the possibility of extending his loan or buying him on a permanent basis for €5 million.

Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi will rediscuss the details to address Llorente’s future in Italy.
