Roma are seeking more reinforcements in the summer and the club are said to be on the look-out for a specific identity kit among players eligible for De Rossi’s ranks.
With the season having come to an end, Roma are focusing all their efforts on the busy transfer window that awaits them.
The club are expected to apply a major overhaul to their squad with several players on their way out.
Above all, Roma will want to get rid of all players that do not give De Rossi the necessary guarantees from a physical point of view.
As a result, a player like Leonardo Spinazzola will not be staying at the club any longer: Roma have made it clear to him they do not plan to renew his deal.
With regards to Paulo Dybala, a veritable superstar for the Giallorossi, considerations will also be made with regards to his future at the club due to his fragile physical condition.
Moreover, Roma want to add more technical players to Daniele De Rossi’s disposal.
According to Il Messaggero, the need for technically sound players is something De Rossi urged the club to focus on in his meetings with the Giallorossi management.
The newspaper reports that Roma will no longer target players like Rasmus Kristensen or Rick Karsdorp.
Instead, the club want to model their summer signings after someone like Tommaso Baldanzi – a young, technical player with good fitness levels and huge potential signed on a permanent deal for €10 million from Empoli.
Baldanzi is considered the first piece to build Roma’s team of the future.
The Giallorossi will focus on players that are young, good prospects and can be useful and functional within De Rossi’s system.
