Roma have been monitoring Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and are now mentioned as a potential transfer destination for the Slovenian attacker.

With Romelu Lukaku set to leave Roma and return to Chelsea, the capital club are reportedly evaluating various players to replace Big Rom.

Over the last week, Roma have been linked with Lille’s David and Stuttgart’s Guirassy.

More recently, however, Roma have been linked with Benjamin Sesko of Leipzig.

The 21-year-old, reports Corriere della Sera, is a player that the Giallorossi like very much.

Sesko stunned numerous clubs with his impressive season and is likely to move from Leipzig for a large fee this summer.

The newspaper claims that after inquiring about him, Roma were told Leipzig would only accept offers upwards of €50-60 million.

This, for the time being, is an impossible fee to match for Roma.

As a result, the club will focus on other targets with Jonathan David labelled as Roma’s ideal fit for De Rossi’s 4-3-3 system.
