Tammy Abraham intends to fight for a chance to extend his stay in the Italian capital.
The English striker recently completed his return to the pitch following an extensive absence due to a knee injury suffered in June of last year.
However, the return did not go as planned.
Abraham struggled to integrate in Daniele De Rossi’s system and scored only one goal in a handful of unconvincing appearances that left much to be desired.
As a result, Abraham has been linked with a potential departure from Roma this summer.
After all, the player had been close to moving to Aston Villa a year prior to his ACL injury.
According to Corriere dello Sport, however, Abraham wants to stay at Roma.
Despite the club pushing to sell Abraham in order to fund their own transfer targets, Abraham has made it clear that he wants to continue playing for the Giallorossi.
The Italian newspaper writes that the English striker, in fact, even before leaving for Australia to play in the international friendly with Milan, reportedly told his staff and teammates his desire to stay in the capital for at least another season, declaring that he did not want to look for a new team this summer.
Abraham’s objective is to play his chances to stay in De Rossi’s team.
