Roma’s dream signing for the summer remains Juventus attacker and Italy star Federico Chiesa.

The ex-Fiorentina man is Roma’s top target and a player that Daniele De Rossi is said to be very keen on.

In recent months, reports emerged suggesting contact between De Rossi and Chiesa took place, with the former Roma captain attempting to lure Chiesa to the Italian capital.

With the summer about to start, Roma want to turn their dream into a reality.

Thus, the capital club plan on pursuing Chiesa within the coming weeks.

According to Corriere dello Sport, even without Champions League qualification, the Friedkins want to gift De Rossi a marquee signing this summer.

The American owners will reportedly do all it takes to ensure an important signing.

The newspaper reports that Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi is ready to open talks with Chiesa.

Juventus are yet to address the player’s contractual situation – his current deal expires in 2025 and there is no certainty that he might be willing to renew his contract with the Bianconeri.

As a result, Roma are rumored to be his primary destination in case talks over a new contract with Juve were to fall through.
