Former Roma boss Jose Mourinho is said to have requested his new club, Fenerbahce, to pursue Paulo Dybala in the summer.
The Special One was recently appointed as Fenerbahce’s new manager, making it his first experience in the Turkish Super Lig.
After receiving a warm welcome from his new fanbase in a packed stadium, Mourinho reportedly met with the club’s management to file his first requests for the summer transfer market.
One of the targets Mourinho is said to have asked for is Paulo Dybala.
The Argentine forward joined Roma in 2022 primarily to work with Mourinho, and the Special One is hoping to have the same pull two years later, this time in Turkey.
Mourinho is reportedly eager to reunite with la Joya.
According to La Repubblica, Roma want to continue together with Dybala and the player seems to be keen on remaining at least another year in the Italian capital.
However, the newspaper does not excluded that Fenerbahce, at Mourinho’s request, could swoop in and pay the Argentine’s release clause.
The clause in Dybala’s current contract is worth €13 million and expires at the end of July.
