Alexander Sorloth is the latest name to be linked as a potential reinforcement for Daniele De Rossi’s side this summer.

The Norwegian striker is coming off an impressive season as La Liga’s second most prolific goal-scorer with 23 goals and 6 assists.

Over the course of the last few hours, Roma seem to have accelerated in their inquiries for Sorloth.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi held an initial round of talks with Villareal to assess their demands.

Although Villareal’s price tag on Sorloth is estimated at 35 million euros, Roma are working to lower this sum and make Sorloth their next target.

At the moment, Sorloth appears to have overtaken Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion as Roma’s preferred target to lead the attack next season.
