Houssem Aouar is headed to Saudi Arabia after only year in the Italian capital.
The midfielder’s spell in Italy was short-lived and underwhelming to the point that Aouar has decided to move to the Saudi Pro League and join Al-Ittihad.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have completed an agreement with Al-Ittihad for Houssem Aouar’s transfer.
The deal will be a permanent one for a fixed fee of €12 million plus add-ons.
The two clubs finalized the agreement a few moments ago.
Aouar will thus depart the Italian capital soon and sign a long-term deal with Laurent Blanc’s new club.
For Roma this will be an important sale given that the club signed Aouar on a free transfer a year ago resulting in considerable capital gain.
