Roma are closing in on Marc Pubill as their new starting right-back.
The Spanish defender is currently in pole position to reinforce Roma’s backline and provide Daniele De Rossi with more depth on the right flank.
With only Zeki Celik available (as Buba Sangare will likely start the season with Roma Primavera), Roma made it a priority to secure at least one more right-back before the end of the summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has held positive talks with Pubill’s camp and is now ready to meet with Almeria to discuss the fees involved.
The newspaper reports that Ghisolfi will meet with Almeria reps in the coming days: the Spanish club are currently asking for 10 million euros.
