Hellas Verona are in talks to sign Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov on a temporary deal.

After securing the arrival of Artem Dovbyk, Roma want to focus on outgoing transfers which will inevitably contribute to a larger budget for further transfer investments.

One of the players that no longer fits Roma’s project is Eldor Shomurodov, fresh off a loan spell at Cagliari and an appearance at the Paris Olympics with the Uzbekistan national team.

Shomurodov is once again being linked with a temporary exit from Roma as no team seems to be inclined on signing him on a permanent basis.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hellas Verona are targeting him and intend to hold talks with Roma in the coming days to define a loan transfer.

Sean Sogliano, sporting director of Verona, is talking with the Giallorossi to try to find an agreement.

Then the decision will be up to Shomurodov who is currently involved in the Olympics even if his Uzbekistan’s journey is nearing the end after the two defeats against Spain and Egypt.
