Loïc Badé is on Roma’s summer shortlist and the favorite to replace Chris Smalling.

In fact, the French defender is the latest player to have been contacted by the Giallorossi who are seeking defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.

Badé – currently involved in France’s journey to an Olympic gold medal in Paris – is the new name linked with the capital club.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma have put him in their sights as they plan to accelerate Smalling’s departure.

The English veteran recently met with his agent and is now set to evaluate all incoming offers.

In the meantime, Roma continue talks with Badé’s entourage. Afterwards, the club plan to initiate contact with Sevilla.
