Roma attacker Eldor Shomurodov is in talks to join MLS side Atlanta United.
The Uzbek striker has been searching for a new club after he spent last season on loan with Cagliari—where he collected 3 goals and 3 assists in 22 league appearances.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, MLS side Atlanta United are keen to acquire Shormurodov and have opened transfer talks with the Giallorossi.
The negotiation is ongoing, but both parties are optimistic a deal will be reached, potentially paving way for the attacker to leave the Italian capital.
Shomurodov, who joined Roma for €20 million in 2021, has endured a major performance dip in recent seasons, which prompted the club to send him on loan to Spezia in January 2023 followed by a move to Sardegna.
He’s totaled only 6 goals and 6 assists in 48 games across all competitions with Roma.
