Marash Kumbulla remains on his way out of Roma following his return from loan at Sassuolo.
The Albanian defender does not seem to fit Roma’s long-term plans and is thus on the market.
Over recent weeks, it has been rumored that the Giallorossi would add another, more experienced defender in case of Kumbulla’s exit.
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport claims that Kumbulla may stay in Italy after all and continue in Serie A.
According to Di Marzio, Empoli are in fact the latest team to show interest in the ex-Verona centreback.
The Tuscan side are said to have approached Roma in recent days, inquiring about Kumbulla.
