Daniele De Rossi spoke to DAZN ahead of kick-off, discussing his decision to leave out Paulo Dybala from the team’s line-up.
Before kick-off to Roma’s first game of the season, De Rossi remarked, “I’m happy with the preparation we did ahead of this match. We’d like to get off to a good start tonight.”
“Enzo Le Fée has great quality and is a dynamic player. He can play in all midfield positions, he can also play as a defensive playmaker but we will need more time. Before he was more timid, now he looks for more space, he wants the ball more. He will give us a great hand.”
“Dybala out? It’s a technical choice, we talked to each other. He is focused on this match, he wasn’t distracted by the rumors. He will give us a hand during the game.”
“For me it’s a great honor to be able to coach this team from the start of the season. It’s a big moment for me. I am happy to be here with this great team.”
