Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport shares an important update on Roma’s pursuit of Kevin Danso from Lens.

In recent days, the capital club turned their attention to the Austrian defender as they continue to search for additional reinforcements before the end of the summer.

The newspaper suggests that talks between Roma and Danso’s entourage have brough a positive outcome.

Danso has reportedly agreed to terms with the Giallorossi and is eager to join the club at all costs.

Next, Roma must find a way to meet Lens’ demands, which remain quite elevated.

Lens are asking for around 25 million (including add-ons) to let go of the Austrian centreback.

Danso started his career as a striker scoring 43 goals in the youth team then the turning point came about and he was pushed back into the defense.

It was Roma’s sporting director, Florent Ghisolfi, who brought him to Lens from Fortuna Dusseldorf in 2021.

Last year he was named best defender in Ligue 1.
