Lens and Roma are locked in negotiations for the transfer of Kevin Danso to the Italian capital.

The Austrian defender is Roma’s priority to further strengthen Daniele De Rossi’s backline.

With only a few days until the transfer deadline, Roma submitted a second offer for Danso, which amounted 1 million euros in loan fee plus 21.5 million euros’ worth of obligation.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that this proposal was also rejected by Lens.

The French club expect a slight increase in Roma’s next offer in order to drive the price up to 25 million in total.

Roma must now decide whether to proceed with a third bid in order to close the deal.
