In recent hours, the Giallorossi held talks with Sevilla over a late transfer involving the 25-year-old defender.
However, according to French news portal Foot Mercato, an agreement was not found between the clubs.
Sevilla’s request of a loan with obligation for €25 million was deemed too high for Roma who will now focus on other targets.
