With Chris Smalling set to leave in the coming hours, Roma want to add another centreback to their roster.
Besides Mario Hermoso, who is very close to joining the Giallorossi, Roma have relaunched talks with free agent Mats Hummels.
The veteran centreback is the number one priority in case of Smalling’s departure.
According to Sky Sport, Roma are making progress in their talks with Hummels.
With Chris Smalling headed to Al Fayha, Roma would immediately secure Hummels as his replacement.
