Chris Smalling saw his last match with Roma in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Juventus.
The veteran defender did not step on the pitch, being limited to sitting on the bench for the duration of the match.
After the game, Smalling, along with his teammates, returned to the capital where he will now undergo his medical with Al Fayha.
As reported by Il Tempo, the Englishman will complete the necessary tests in Rome before travelling to Saudi Arabia to sign his new contract until 2026.
In the meantime, Roma have already found Smalling’s replacement in Mats Hummels whom they’re holding talks with.
