Mats Hummels is about to step on the pitch of the Signal Iduna Park for the last time in his career.

It is in this stadium that Hummels spent the majority of his career except for a few seasons at Bayern Munich and the new adventure at Roma that the player just started a few days ago.

Roma’s new number 15 returned to the German city to play a match organized by two of his former teammates, Piszczek and Blaszczykowski.

After concluding his experience with Dortmund, the club wanted to pay homage to Hummels with a commemorative plaque thanking him for the years spent together.

“With 508 competitive matches for our club, you are in second place among Borussia Dortmund’s record players. For over 13 years you have committed yourself and given your all. You will forever be an important part of our yellow and black history – THANK YOU, Mats!” reads Borussia’s statement.
