Lazio’s Matteo Guendouzi praised his compatriot and Rome derby opponent, Manu Koné following his performance in France’s win over Belgium.
Koné’s earned lots of praise from the media, fans and coach and teammates.
Among them was Guendouzi, who alluded to their rivalry in the upcoming Derby della Capitale.
“He played a very good game, he helped us a lot in recovering the ball. And he was also very clean with the ball at his feet, distributing it well,” said the Lazio player.
“I hope he doesn’t play like this in the Rome derby because soon we will play against each other…”
