Former Lazio and Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri was asked to weigh in on this year’s Serie A.

Despite being without a team for the first time since his appointment as Lazio’s head coach in 2021, Sarri was happy to discuss this new Serie A season with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The first impression is that Inter are the favourites, but I’m waiting to see the evolution of other teams as well,” said the Italian coach.

“Motta’s Juve and Conte’s Napoli are also worth looking at. Milan can have a positive evolution, their squad is strong.”

Then on Roma, Sarri remarked, “The same goes for Roma, who have added new players. They can evolve this season.”
