Roma have announced that Belgian winger Alexis Saelemaekers has undergone surgery.
The player – who joined the club on deadline day on loan from Milan – recently suffered a fractured ankle in the Match against Genoa.
Earlier today, Saelemaekers travelled to Belgium to complete surgery.
“Saelemaekers underwent surgery for a fractured medial malleolus,” reads the official statement.
“The procedure was successful, and the player will begin his rehabilitation in the coming days.
