Kevin Danso is looking at the possibility of undergoing surgery on his heart in the aftermath of his failed medical with Roma in August.

Austrian media have reported that the defender, who is still playing at Lens, will need heart surgery to continue playing professionally.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the indications from CONI, which had not granted him competitive eligibility in Italy at the end of the tests produced by Roma, were evidently correct.

Danso was recently visited by a cardiologist in England who found an anomaly that needed to be treated surgically: a probe will be inserted to restore normal heart activity.

The surgical intervention should not be particularly invasive, so much so that according to the most optimistic forecasts Danso should be back on the field by the end of October.
