Athletic Club continue to deal with a series of injuries that complicate preparations for the first Europa League match against Roma.
After Nico Williams and Yuri Berchiche’s injuries, goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala is now also doubtful for Thursday’s match.
The young goalkeeper had assumed the role of starter after Unai Simon’s injury, but his presence against the Giallorossi is at risk.
During the last La Liga match against Celta Vigo, Agirrezabala suffered a blow to the face which forced him to leave the pitch at the end of the first half.
The goalkeeper was replaced by the third goal-keeper of the squad, Padilla, who could also be called upon to defend the posts against Roma if Agirrezabala does not recover.
According to Relevo, the conditions of the young Spanish goalkeeper remain uncertain and will be evaluated in the next few days.
