Roma will have to do without captain Lorenzo Pellegrini for tomorrow’s clash against Athletic Club in the opening round of the Europa League.
After missing training on Monday and Tuesday, the Giallorossi skipper was once again absent from today’s training session—essentially ruling him out against the Spanish side.
According to Sky Sport, the midfielder suffered a knee contusion during Roma’s 3-0 victory over Udinese on Sunday. He was forced off midway through the second half and was spotted walking gingerly after the game.
Though, it’s still uncertain if Pellegrini will recover in time for this weekend’s league match against Venezia.
