Edoardo Bove suffers epileptic fit, remains conscious

Panic at the Franchi Stadium in Florence as Edoardo Bove midfielder collapsed during Fiorentina-Roma.

The 22-year-old – on loan at Fiorentina from Roma – went down to tie his shoes and did not come back again.

Bove was immediately rushed to the hospital and the match was suspended shortly thereafter.

According to Il Tempo, an epileptic seizure would have caused the illness with cardiac arrest on the pitch.

The player is now conscious, in the company of the Viola medical staff and some team executives.

The player will soon undergo a CT scan as he had spasms.

In the meantime, Fiorentina-Inter has been postponed until a later date.
