Ajax executive Iex Kroes responded to the latest rumors about Devyne Rensch’s transfer to Roma.
Ajax technical director Lex Kroes spoke to Rondo, a show broadcast on ZiggoSport, also addressing the transfer rumours involving full-back Devyne Rensch.
“We wanted to extend his contract, I tried but so far without success. Now Ajax is facing a new reality. I told him: “If you want to leave for free and help us qualify for the Champions League, that’s fine with us.”
“I think Devyne is a difficult player to replace. He’s a good player. In short: we want to keep him.”
“At the same time, if a good transfer were to come along, it would also be interesting. We are doubtful, I don’t know.”
