Athletic Club manager Ernesto Valverde addressed the situation revolving around Sancet’s injury ahead of the highly anticipated showdown with Roma.
“We come from a week without playing any games, we will have five days to recover,” Valverde said in a recent press conference. “There is enough time to recover well, but we will see how the boys are doing.”
On Sancet he then declared: “No matter how much we talk about his injury, he will not recover before the first leg against Roma.”
“I do not know if he will be with us in Rome, I would like him to be there, but we do not want to take any risks.”
