Romanian footballer Andrei Ratiu remains a target for Roma.
After monitoring him in January, Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi decided to focus on Devyne Rensch instead, but the Rayo Vallecano full-back continues to be part of Roma’s shortlist for the summer transfer market.
Competition for the player, however, is fierce: according to Mundo Deportivo, the player is also being pursued by prestigious teams such as Barcelona, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.
Ratiu, who has a release clause of 25 million euros, has a contract with Rayo until 2028, and 50% of this sum would go to Villarreal.
Although Barcelona currently appear to be in the lead, Roma have no intention of giving up the pursuit and could make a concrete attempt to bring him to Trigoria.
