Tommaso Baldanzi spoke to Roma TV shortly after the full-time whistle to Roma 2-1 Athletic Club Bilbao.
Following the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16, Baldanzi noted, “I’m very happy, it was a very difficult game.”
“Tonight the atmosphere was beautiful. I am happy for the fans and I want to thank them.”
“We are happy to have won, we could have scored more goals, including me, so we take home the victory with the awareness that we could have done better.”
“Athletic are a strong team and they are in good shape, even in La Liga they rarely lose,” he continued. “But still, we played a great game and we put them under pressure. We could have scored more goals.”
