German defender Mats Hummels discussed his imminent retirement as the season draws to a close.
In an interview with Idealista, Hummels said, “It’s been a wonderful adventure.”
“I am fond of everything I’ve been through this season.”
“As I have reiterated several times, I want it to be a story with a happy ending and I want to close the season with Roma in Europe,” he said when asked about his goals for the season finale.
”Rome is a wonderful city that needs no introduction. Living it in every aspect was fantastic and every moment lived in this city will remain an indelible memory for me.”
