As things stand, Alexis Saelemaekers won’t be returning to Roma.
The Belgian winger spent the past season on loan in the Italian capital, collecting 7 goals and 4 assists in all competitions for the Giallorossi.
Roma’s intention was to sign him on a permanent deal from Milan.
However, negotiations have proven to be more difficult than initially anticipated.
As reported by Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, right now Roma are missing the agreement with the player himself.
Moreover, the capital club failed to meet Milan’s demands: the Rossoneri are intent on keeping the player and continuing to look for better offers elsewhere, possibly from the Premier League.
