With the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini, Roma are expected to accelerate their talks with Mile Svilar over the player’s contract renewal.
As Il Corriere della Sera writes, the renewal is still at a standstill.
No alarms are being raised from Trigoria for now, but things are proceeding at a slow pace.
Svilar’s contract expires in 2027, with a salary of less than a million euros.
Gasperini was clear during his recent meeting with members of Roma’s management: Svilar will have to be a key figure in his new Roma and must therefore stay at all costs.
Yet the gap with the requests of the Serbian’s entourage continues to be wide. Should the situation worsen, Ghisolfi would ask for no less than 50 million euros for the goalkeeper.
