Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi reassured the fans of the club’s intentions to renew Mile Svilar’s contract.
After rumors emerged suggesting talks between Roma and Svilar’s entourage had been put on hold, Ghisolfi came out to speak to Corriere dello Sport, where he confirmed that Roma are intent on completing an agreement for the shot-stopper’s new deal.
“As I have always said, he is our future,” Ghisolfi told the Italian newspaper.
“He still has two years left on his contract, but we want to renew it because he deserves it,” he added.
“Mile has had a great season and has become an important player for the club.”
