Leandro Paredes appears to be on his way out of Roma.
The Roma midfielder is in fact projected to make his long-awaited return to Argentina.
According to the Argentine news portal Clarin.com, Boca Juniors are working to close the deal for Paredes’ return.
The president of the club, Juan Román Riquelme, will not be able to conclude the operation in time for the Club World Cup, but the transfer now seems only a matter of time.
Paredes, currently busy with the national team, should meet with Gian Piero Gasperini once he returns to Italy, before making a final decision on his future.
The move to Boca Juniors could be formalized after this meeting.
