After June 30, by which the accounts had to be settled to comply with the ‘Financial Fair Play’, Roma can dedicate themselves with greater freedom to the incoming market.

Among the club’s main objectives is Flamengo full-back Wesley.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gian Piero Gasperini had already set his sights on the player last year but the negotiations between Atalanta and Flamengo did not come to fruition due to some delays caused by the Brazilian club.

Wesley’s contract is valued at 30 million euros.

Roma are negotiating with the aim of lowering Flamengo’s request.

The Giallorossi would like to bring the request down to 25 million euros including bonuses and arrive at the formula of a loan with an obligation to buy.
