Roma’s number one priority to strengthen the flanks is Flamengo fullback Wesley, a longtime favorite of Gian Piero Gasperini.
The capital club have been locked in talks with Flamengo for Wesley’s transfer to Serie A.
According to Il Messaggero, Flamengo continues to ask for €30 million while Roma are only to go as far as €25 million.
The Giallorossi are hoping to close the deal soon to overcome the competition in the form of Brighton and Juventus, two clubs that have held talks with the Brazilian side as well in recent days.
Negotiations with Flamengo are proving to be complicated: Flamengo are not considering the option of loan with obligation.
