Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini had words of high praise for Lorenzo Pellegrini who featured in yesterday’s win over Hellas Verona.
The Italian midfielder started and played the full 90 minutes as the Giallorossi beat Verona 2-0 with goals by Dovbyk and Soule.
After the match, Gasperini praised Pellegrini’s performance in his post-match presser.
“I’m happy with Pellegrini’s athleticism,” said Gasperini. “He often tracked back and helped out defensively.”
“From that point of view he’s a solid player,” he concluded.
