Roma attacker Matias Soule spoke to Serie A’s official website.
The Argentine discussed his positive start to the season as well as his impressions from his first year in the Italian capital.
“The beginning of last year wasn’t easy. Roma had a lot of coaching changes, and settling in was difficult. But luckily, I felt everyone’s confidence in me. The club and my teammates help me grow every day and do what I do best.”
“This year we want to finish as high as possible in the league and go far in the Europa League and Coppa Italia. The main objective is to qualify for the Champions League, then we’ll see game by game.”
“Gasperini? I think he can give me a lot. We’re working to be more effective up front, score more goals, and provide more assists. He wants me to get into the opposition’s penalty area more: it’s something he’s already demanded from other strikers. I know I have a lot to improve on, but I’m sure that with his help I can do much more.”
“I followed Dybala as a kid, when he was doing wonders for Juventus. I was lucky enough to play with him, and now we’re always together, on and off the pitch. He’s a fantastic player, and I’m proud to have him as a teammate.”
“The fans’ support is very important. They help us, especially at the Olimpico. We feel their presence and it helps us a lot. It gives us the energy to keep going at full speed.”
