Nicolo Zaniolo released a candid interview to Corriere dello Sport in which he addressed various speculations concerning his rapport with his former team – Roma.
On the rumors that him and Gianluca Mancini had a falling out, Zaniolo said, “It’s a lie. We have a great relationship, maybe there were some skirmishes on the pitch, but we are great friends.”
On his celebration in front of Roma fans after scoring at the Olimpico with Atalanta, “It was a reaction due to the moment I was going through: I wasn’t playing much, so that goal was a relief for me. If I could go back and celebrate like that, I wouldn’t celebrate like that again. I apologize to anyone who was offended.”
On whether he apologized to the Roma Primavera members with which he got into a fight last year, “It was no use, everything was exaggerated and the authorities have ascertained what happened.”
