Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca spoke at a press conference ahead of the Champions League match against Atalanta.
As a Serie A fan, he knows the Nerazzurri well, who have enchanted Europe under Gasperini.
“I’m in love with Atalanta. Living abroad, they’ve been a source of pride for us Italians, and we don’t have much to boast about. I congratulate the club and the team. I’ve tried to get the best out of Gasperini, observing them all these years.”
“In Serie A, many teams try to do something similar to Gasperini’s Atalanta: five-man defense, aiming for one-on-one situations where they follow you even into the bathroom.”
With these words, the Chelsea manager concluded his praise of the current Roma manager, who has influenced Italian football and established himself as one of the best coaches around.
