Tommaso Baldanzi was close to a move to Hellas Verona this summer, but the move fell through after Roma failed to close their final transfer deals.

However, Verona are ready to bounce back and sign the former Empoli player in January.

Roma acquired him for €10 million plus €5 million in bonuses, but the connection with the Giallorossi shirt never materialized.

This season, he’s played just 256 minutes, often playing as a false nine in emergencies. Gasp considers him a expendable option to unlock the transfer window.

As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, Verona are serious in their pursuit.

Roma is also interested in some of the Scaligeri’s players, and a real transfer axis could develop.

The Roman club is making moves for the second striker position, with Giacomo Raspadori increasingly close, but the Giallorossi have another name at the top of their wish list. The sales are aimed at unlocking cash to land Joshua Zirkzee. He is Gasperini’s favorite to strengthen the attack.
