Another high-flying match for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma, and another defeat, again by a narrow margin.

This time, Atalanta took advantage, winning 1-0 at the New Balance Arena thanks to a dubious 12th-minute goal by Scalvini.

Mile Svilar, interviewed by the media, analyzed the match and the incident surrounding the Bergamaschi’s goal: “They created very little, and we did solid defensive work as always.”

“The goal we conceded early on is disappointing because we weren’t able to create much. If we hadn’t conceded, it would have been a more open game. We’ll be able to play openly against these teams.”

Regarding the contact with Scalvini, Svilar said: “I felt something on my arm and then on my head. I think the images speak for themselves; when you touch a goalkeeper in the six-yard box, it’s always a foul. Fabbri told me the ball slipped from my hands, so for me it’s a foul.”

The goalkeeper then admitted to being impeded by Rensch: “Rensch is impeding me, but I’ll tell you honestly that last week against Genoa, I committed a foul in the box, and it would have been right to award a penalty. However, I think it’s equally fair to admit that I was fouled today, and in my opinion, the goal should have been disallowed.”
